I just wanted to let everyone know that "EMPower" (a group w/ Clemson University to promote student safety) is sponsoring this event with Anderson University. They'll be putting through 30 students potentially, 1/3 AU students, 2/3 Clemson students.
Both myself and almost all the other officers have helped or instructed at the previous upstate TRSS events that have helped out. We've worked with Empower to provide our resources and expertise in these events and what works and what doesn't. We all plan on continuing to support these types of events and would like to possibly put one on sponsored by CSCC in the future. This is a great opportunity to show Clemson were about not only competition but also educating drivers on car control that will ultimately make them safer drivers. The more support and people we bring to this, the more of a statement we'll make. And since I didn't note already; I'm recruiting key administration to participate in the training course to make them really see how great this program is and hopefully see how much we support it as well. This could pay dividends for our other goals as a club *hint hint*, but is not and should not be the only reason we help.
Currently, I'm trying to recruit anyone and everyone that can lend a hand either instructing or working at the event. To instruct you need to be 21 (sorry guys, I can explain upon further request), but anyone else can help out. Please note FREE LUNCH AND SHIRT to all workers and instructors.
Can you help?
