So, I'm having power loss issues with my Fiero and I've been swapping out a lot of parts to try to fix it. So far I've changed the spark plugs, SP wires, distributor cap and rotor, ignition coil, and fuel filter. What's next? I think its ultimately gonna be something wrong with the fuel rail adjustment, or just being worn. But some one at fierostore.com said it might be the control module. Sense the control module is easier to replace I priced some out. At Advanced Auto they have a performance module for $200. This is like $150 more than the stock module. My question is, is it worth getting the performance module? I just dont see how it could change that much. It's just monitoring sensors and adjusting.

Oh and if you can give any advice on my power loss problem it would be appreciated.

Thanks
Have you checked fuel pressure, compression, or timing?
I don't have the tools to do any of those. But I want to be able to all that stuff so I will buy it eventually. But its new territory for me and money is tight. How much is that kinda equipment?

See that's your problem right there. You don't need to swap out lots of part, just one big part - the engine. A small block Chevy should fix your power loss issues right quick Lol

(Sorry, I know that's not helpful at all, but I couldn't help it. For what it's worth I'd steer clear of anything performance related from advanced auto)

You have to pay a deposit, but you get 100% back as long as you return it in 30 days.
Have you replaced the fuel filter recently? How many miles are on the engine? It's multiport I take it right? I'd say replace the fuel filter and if that doesn't help at all you know it's either a electrical issue affecting the sequencing/timing of injector pulses or a mechanical issue with the fuel rail and/or injectors.
