i'll give you three guesses why the 993 is famous but you'll only need one. the 944 is an '86 Turbo Cup car, 1 of 11... it's his "dry weather" daily driver

Bad Boys 1 !!!
Classic VS Shelby Cobra.
What a car
I believe it might actually be considered a 964? I know it's not a 993 by the headlights, just unsure what year it is.

it's a 94... isn't that a 993?? i hate to say this but "it says so on wikipedia" (says 1993-1998, notice in the album, the paper says it's a '94 and the rear trunk lid says "Turbo 3.6" which was a 993 option)
According to your favorite site -
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Porsche_964
"Porsche released the 964 Turbo 3.6 in January, 1993[2], now featuring a turbocharged version of the 3.6 litre M64 engine and producing 360 PS (260 kW; 360 hp) @ 5500 rpm, the 3.6 litre powered Turbo was produced only for model year 1993/1994, with fewer than 1,500 of them produced in total, making it one of the rarest and most sought after Porsches produced since the 959.
At the end of 964 production in 1994 the Porsche factory had some 90 Turbo chassis left. These were all transferred to Porsche Exclusiv and built as the very special Turbo 3.6S. The Turbo 3.6S was available either with the traditional 964 Turbo 3.6 body, or with the exclusive Flatnose (German: Flachbau) aka Slantnose option." - Wiki Pedia
If you will notice the 993 has different lights, they are much more layed down compared to these, and those of the earlier cars!
This is a 993
This is a 964
Sorry just a bit of a P-car freak, hopefully you can see the difference!
Scorke
yea i just came across the info on the difference. i stand corrected... but i can't change the damn title

Np.
I just happen to love the 964/993 style of Porsche more than any other
Scorke
hopefully you can see where i was confused (i saw MY 1994 and assumed it was a 993 since they came out then) and didn't realize the turbo's were on the older 964 chassis that year. my bad
one snap of the cobra:

Id love to have a nice 964 or 993... dammit I need monies!!!!
Awesome per usual Patrick

I love the Cobra and I would have gotten the generation on that Porsche wrong too. I thought the 993's had the more vertical lights, but I was wrong. I think that the 964 is one of the best looking Porsches, because it is classic like the first one, but just a little cleaner as you move to the back. Gotta love things with BOOOOSSSTTT
is that a factory five, or an original?
thanks steve
i believe it's original brad... i mean look at the mofo's hangar with his three planes... it's not like that would be a big deal for him to find haha
