Very impressive, but Subaru admits the car was "modified" but they claim it was with parts they will make available worldwide. Besides all that, it's nice to see the STi in a sedan again and looking good at that. Smile
I do like the new ones. I am guessing that that one is the special edition they are selling. Nice to see the motor is ok with 8K RPM, lol. Tommy is the man BTW. Interesting to see him in a Subie.

Watching that lap I didn't need to be told Lol On the back section after the uphill, I thought he lost it, but he somehow kept it under him.
Car had an upgraded turbo amonst some other s205 spec mods.

Impressive none-the-less!

THE DRIVER HAD NEVER BEEN AROUND THE RING BEFORE Shock Shock
Tommi Makinen has just re-set my BAMF meter for race drivers. He was screaming in a car that he'd had a dozen or so lap in on a track that he had the same amount of experience on.
Not to nitpick, but did anyone notice the missed 5th to 4th shift/over-rev? Looked quick nonetheless, but that definitely caught my attention.

Sounded like 5->2->3, but yeah I caught that too. Oops!
i is because if you notices the gears were extremely short. You shift into 6th at 120MPH. I mean I hit 4th in the miata at over 110. I don't know why the gearing is so short. I mean it tops out at ~150.

I saw that as well. I would say that's his lone mistake on the lap. It seemed to me like has was guessing what gear that turn need to be in and went 1 too low.
