Had a great time... beautiful weather and a lot of racing fun. 12 new SCCA licenses for Time Trial were given out at the event... that will mean more competitors at the hillclimbs I'm sure.

I took 1st in Specials Class... only because George Bowland threw a clutch on his first lap. TJ took third out of 9 in CSP mainly because of paper thin brake pads half way through sunday. Pads gone and day was done. That's racing... 3/4's of a second from first. We'll check the pads next time... wanna' bet on that?

SCCA Atlanta Region also announced more details on the Road Atlanta Time Trial and PDX being held May 22nd and 23rd. If you are interested, let me know!

Saw this at TGPR...
Anyone guess what this platform this kit car was built on?
hmmm miata?
My thought as well.
I would bet MG. The Ferris Buller car that they drove in the movie was a re-bodied MG.
WINNER Steverino!

It's an MGB. Front and sides look beautiful and really well done for a kit.I swear I about tossed cookies when I got aroundback and saw... MGB tail lights. Why would you work that hard to hide it and then stick MGB tailights on that car?
^because everyone knows MGs have better looking rears and are better overall cars than Ferraris. Smile
at least you guys didn't get beat by the minivan Tongue

That minivan was the first van approved by SCCA for TT racing... stripped out Odessy and and it was QUICK! Guess where owner works? Local Honda plant.
