Ted <---- Artificial Car Driver...

wheelspin up to 62mph maybe?
Thats what I was thinking.
The GPS tracker would be interesting to see my speed. I could also use my accessport but the wire might get wrapped around my left leg.
My engine sounds like Gerbo's 2010 wrx -and it should since they are both 2.5 L Subaru engines. My turbo is stock, but I have a bigger TMIC and it was tuned for a 7000 red line. The car is quick in a streight line. I'm sure other big horsepower cars could hit 60+ on that course.
Ted's hillclimber car had to be going faster than 60 at spots.
maybe, who the f knows.
i'm baffled that any respectable handling car can go 5-8+ mph faster than another car on each straight away sections and be 2-3+ seconds slower around the course.
the course had 5 noticeable acceleration spots.
i'll bring 3 or 4 GPS's next race and people can check them out via driver's license.
does anyone have a radar gun?
Dave... Funny you mention it...
I had been thinking about buying one for a while. I think it would be neat info to provide drivers. Pick the fastest part of the course and catch them there. I'll see what I can do for next event.
I have no idea how fast I am going to be honest. There is no speedo and TJ's G-tech won't work on Bandit because some butt head removed the cigarette lighter...

Anyone know who the main photographers were out there? I would love to see some pics from Saturday. Someone told me that they got a nice photo of my car drifting into turn 1.

^go there. His name is Patrick and he takes some AMAZING shots. There is a CSCC autocross link in there to check them out. You can also see pics he's done from previous autoxs and other events.

ehh, that car/thing had a cigarette lighter? (i can't detect your e-sarcasm).
i used the GPS to maximize how long i stayed on the throttle coming out of the sweeper.
It's a regular Garmin that can be bought for $100 or less nowadays.
Just charge it up before the race and turn if off in between runs.
It lasted long enough for me and JD to use it at the last race.
i went from 50.3 on my first run to 54.1 and 54.2 on my last 2 runs.
i just reset the max speed each run.

what she said!
If you trust the accuracy of the 20-something year old Mazda electronics and an Internet RPM-speed calculator, the club car is doing 53mph at 7000RPM (when the buzzer starts going off) and 57mph at 7500. If the buzzer works accurately I doubt I exceeded 7500RPM this weekend.

Another thought, maybe your GPS is averaging over some amount of time Dave. If so you might miss the real peak if you don't sustain for a full sample period. Watch the speed readout as you accelerate, if it updates once every second or two, this may be the case.
If it wasn't such a pain, I'd bring the G2X system out to play with...

my mini's at the end~! woot!!!!!
and i feel kinda odd now...
i guess the mini is geared high, cause it does 72mph in 2nd at 6850rpm's.....
Whoa...is it an auto? My car redlines in 2nd at only 58.
i hit the buzzer in cc1 after leaving the sweeper, at least on two of my runs. last event i was hitting the buzzer big time after leaving the sweeper on every single go-round
