K-Series Motors are very popular here at TDC. We have tuned a lot of them, Worked on a lot of them, we even have one of our own (Hubert's 600+whp RSX-S). But this one was a different kind of build that we are all very excited to see finished. Nhia brought us his RSX-S with high hopes of making more power out of his K20 N/A build. K-motors can be very responsive when having the best parts, and Nhia wanted to do it right.

Roughly 140K miles and still decently strong.
i don't think i would ever turbo a motor that didn't come with one. that's just me being unreasonable probably, but it's how i am. so for me, it's a breath of fresh air seeing someone do an n/a build on a honda. when i had my Si ('06 K20Z3), i priced out and entire top end from Skunk2 for $2,200 that they dynoed and put down 298hp. i'd say 100 hp for $2,200 is a pretty good deal. it was definitely cheaper than a turbo kit at the time. plus, for my purposes, any more than 300whp in a fwd car is just useless. torquesteer ftl.

props to this guy for "doing it right."
^I agree. For most people and uses, N/A power is the best route. Especially with the K series engines. They respond so well to bolt-on parts, and make great power for the investment.

what all is included for $2200?
i'm going to assume no engine management (did it even exist for the 06 si back then?), no dyno tuning, no installation, etc....
i don't see 298 hp happening with stock compression...so?

their parts are so expensive. cams-$756, header-$837, valve springs-$254, Ti Retainers - $208, Pro Intake Manifold - $525, throttle body - ~$400,
we are way past $2200, even at wholesale prices, and you won't make 298 hp without some form of engine management (Flash Pro exists now - $695), probably a clutch, and probably higher compression pistons.

the car above has a lot more than $2200 in parts and he is still a good 25 hp away from 298 crank hp
i was just going off of what they did to their SiR. all of the motor upgrades cost $2,200 then. idk what they are now. and i can't remember if that included the engine management, but hondata did offer theirs (K200/300/Pro). and Skunk2 put theirs on the dyno and it made 298hp. check their site. maybe it's still up there.
