Hey guys. So this isn't exactly how things are supposed to go, but we're going to try it anyway.

We're going to have an "emergency" club meeting this Wednesday, March 24 for the purpose of electing new officers. I would like for the new people coming in to be able to see how we do things for autocrosses and get a taste of what it takes to get the motorsports festival together.

Make your nominations in this thread. Anyone who is nominated can reject that nomination. Only members who have held office this school year are eligible to run for president.

Offices up for nominations are: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Associate Secretary, and Public Relations
Why not start off listing the existing officers (those eligible for Pres) and whether or not they will be present next semester?
^good point
Current Officers:
President: Keegan O'Dell (me)
Vice President: David Elkin
Secretary: Karlye Williams
Treasurer: Robert Sellers
Associate Secretary: David Escobar
Public Relations: Steve Williams

People eligible for nominations must be current, due paying members. If you're not sure if the person you would like to nominate is a member, nominate them anyway and we'll check behind you. You are allowed to nominate yourself.
Also, to be eligible, you must be attending Clemson for the next two semesters (Fall '10 and Spring '11).
Who if any of the current officers want to leave or stay? I feel all of the current officers are doing a good job and sometimes if you can stay for an extra year the experienced you learned the first year will help greatly the second. However if you are done I can understand, stuff can get excessive after a while...

If Karlye doesn't want to do Secretary anymore then I nominate Escobar.
Keegan, are you graduating or will you be here next year?
I'll be here. I don't necessarily want to be president again, but if that's how the votes come out i'll stay.
I nominate David Elkin for president though.
I am going to respectfully decline any nomination for me to be an officer again. I am doing clinicals 3-4 times a week next year and getting ready for the NCLEX so I won't have the time to put into the club that I feel an officer should. Good luck to the nominees!
I would accept any nomination, but I'm not entirely sure of my plans beyond the summer. I want to co-op, so I guess unless I get an offer soon, I'll be doing that next spring.
I don't think there has been a club historian for a while. Typically that was just the person who had been around for the longest. I nominate Keri.

You may return to your serious discussion now Big Grin

Being alive the longest doesn't count evil
I cannot come to the meeting tonight in the interest of studying for my 208 exam in the morning. I've got a 201 test tonight and 7 and the 208 at 9 tomorrow. I've got to get ready.
I'll be putting the new fuel pump and lines, along with exhaust into Satans Wankel.
Just to be clear, do only student members have voting priviledges?

Also, is there any job descriptions? At one time I think there was but may have been lost in shuffle over the years. Be good for people to know what they are signing up for and what the perks are.

Are we having elections for this position? I wouldn't mind handing it over to someone and I'd be happy to help them out.
