I just watched Bull Run on SPEED.... I really hope your show isnt lame like bullrun, haha. Lots of lame explosions, over-dramatic host, "OH THE HUMANITY!" moments, stupid challenges, obviously fabricated problems, etc.
Sounds like your show is an actual car show... I hope so, I"ll watch if it is

what does WRC Challenge mean?
WRC = World Rally Championship Series....

I understand... I can't watch Bullrun. Makes me sick! No fakey explosions... real roads and really pretty dangerous. They are requiring cars to have a life vest for the first event that runs beside a river with no guard rail. Top speeds between 100 and 135 on some roads. You can expect to see some cars in pieces and some drivers that are in over their heads. There are some monster engined machines ... should be interesting to see how they compare with a PAX'ed factor. This is real BUT that's not to say that Hollywood won't try to play up bad guys, personalities, create frictions and arguments, and stir the pot. That's part of the mind games and sub strategy that makes it all fun. We'll see.
do they have the TV schedule finalized for this yet?
NBC has purchased the series... it will air on NBC during prime time on a weeknight. IT will begin showing in the late fall of 2010 and finish in late winter/early spring depending on how many races we run. They are wanting to run ten races with points counting for your best 5 events. However, they may have less depending on problems with logistics with a few states (like GA and LA.)
They have guaranteed 5 1 hour race episodes to NBC and they have 7 of those venues locked in.
This is not a BULLRUN with all that explosions and crap. There are some beautiful machines running this event and the roads are pretty gnarly. The first event (in NH) runs along a river which has no guard rails. They said "All drivers and navigators will be required to have a suitable personal flotation device in the car with them." I am continuing with my exercise and diet and will practice quick exits from a Mini prior to that event...
Here's a few of the cars you will see...

whoo hoo!! i don't think there's ever been a successful american/swedish partnership (cough, saab, cough) but i'm sure you guys will be awesome.

I'm really looking forward to seeing this, and I hate, hate, hate "reality" television.
I'm on the mailing list for this, and just watched the "director's cut trailer"...
Ted! What happened to the Per Olaf mini? "Things happen very quickly" he said on the video. Are you guys still in?
