I have missed the last couple of races, but you guys did a good job as usual.
After knocking the rust off, I felt pretty good.

The course was great, I'd like to see it again.
The sound system was also great. You could hear it all over the course. That helped a lot. The announcers added a lot to the atmosphere.

Good job to all.
JD
Yeah I agree with JD that the announcing was a nice addition, good comic relief while waiting in line! Not to mention I could even hear the times from the long sweeper workstation.

I see what everyone was talking about when I heard you only get better the more you practice. I am definitely hooked!

Also I really believe that the more good auto-x turnouts we have the more "regulars" we will have. Hopefully this auto-x will be the start of a long run of 'lucrative' events...
Hey guys and gals. A huge thanks to everyone who came out today. This was by far the best turnout we've had in a while. Hopefully we can keep it going like this. Thanks to James for bringing out the PA and MCing for us. Thanks to everyone who helped set up this morning and tear down this evening. And thanks to everyone for letting this go so smoothly. Sorry about the couple of timing SNAFUs. Hopefully we'll get that all worked out for next time.

Hope to see all of you again in March!

(also, we now have a facebook fan page. look us up if you want.)

I didn't get to drive but took some pictures, not a pro but I think i got some good ones, I'll upload tomorrow and link it.
Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who volunteered their time to set-up the course and run this event. It was thoughtfully planned out and well executed!

Cheers,

Good job setting this event up guys. I learned a lot about my car that I wouldn't ever find out about it otherwise. 3rd place in novice!! woot! See you next month.
Great autocross again with a good turn out. One of the photographers at my work station said, "Considering how young these guys are, they do a damn good job of running these autocrosses." Just thought Id pass that compliment around, thank you everyone who helped make this event happen.

Six6two, from where I was working it looks like your lines were pretty smooth and I noticed your times got better through the day. Great driving for a new car and first time out. Was that you in the car during fun runs with a 61.XXX? If so, shaving four seconds in one day is fantastic, it was a strong showing for the subarus.
I did one fun run in his car, definitely liked it. It just needed more tire.

Thanks man! Yeah that was me in the fun run. I'm new at the whole car driving thing, and that's my first car to own(had it for about three weeks and I think I'll always be in a subie!), so it took a bit to get it figured out. You know everybody says you've got to really point and shoot the subarus, but Zach drove it and showed me a much better way around the horseshoe and it helped alot. The subarus definitely represented well. I love your 2.5. Next time I'd like to get a better look at it. You guys were flying!
67 participants is stout - very impressive! Smile
Btw, do you work at boxer4racing north of asheville?
Nah, I dont know why I didnt realize my username was so close to their shop's name when I made it. I have been over there though to get my car looked at. I had a bit of trouble finding it with my directions but they are honest, knowledgable guys.
