Anyone interested in renting my spec e30??? It's in the paint shop now but when it's done i'll post pictures. It was built by BarberRaceWorks w/ all the good stuffSmile

If interested call or email me... The car will definitely be at Road Atlanta for the NASA event in March but can show up other places if wantedSmile

E30? Where'd the miata go?

i still have the miata but have always wanted to run wheel to wheel... I know SM makes the most since, since i've been w/ the miata's for so long, but from what i've seen the bimmers don't go to the body shop after every raceSmile

There may still be a SM in the works though...

Are you wanting to defend your TT or move on up the ladder?
I just wanted to make sure you still have it. I am not a fan of SM myself. I just wanna to TT in my Miata.
Jeremy I've been racing for a while, did my license back in March 2008 Smile Since I'm out in Texas now its tough to make SE area events, but, having a good car to fly out & rent to race would make some things an option again...
proof in his sig: his bumper says PTF thumbsup
or the vids I post every so often... Tongue

Sorry... it's hard for me to keep up on the boards sometimes... Let me know whenever you're in the area and you're welcome to rent the e30. Love to see what a pro can do in itSmile
better hire Mike Skeen if you want a pro Lol

I'll keep you posted - Aug or Dec Road Atlanta with NASA-SE is looking good currently...

so when you bang the fenders off of it do you try and copy the old design or do you go with a new one? Wink Tongue

There's a good chance of contact in every spec-type series, but the SM guys do go to another level. From what I've seen the E30 groups try to stay pretty clean, but there are still frequent incidents. One potential issue is that NASA runs them in the same group as SM and at most tracks there is pretty significant overlap of the two classes within several laps, even with a split start.

Enjoy your Spec car! Mine gave me a lot of minor trouble at my last event in November. Mostly my own fault because I had old gas in it and I was running the mechanical fan still. Other E30 drivers tell me it's also common to lose the belt if the alternator, water pump and crank pulley are not in perfect alignment (this goes for any car of course). In general they're pretty robust. The Barber cars I've seen all look really nicely put together.
BTW are you racing, TT'ing or HPDE'ing in March?
