yo, i drive a black subaru wrx and have been having clutch slipping problems. I need a good tranny shop around the area to drop the clutch and flywheel and possibly sand it for glazing (AWD = F the clutch up). Any suggestions on a shop that is reliable and has respectable pricing?

A good friend of mine owns a transmission shop in Anderson. It's Anderson Transmission Center.

Is it a new or newer clutch that you've glazed over? If not, I can't see paying to drop the tranny to scuff an old clutch and resurface the flywheel. If it's slipping, go ahead and replace the clutch kit, at least with an OEM replacement.

We're about 45 minutes from you, but we'll do it for $350.

We are also Comp Clutch dealers, and can provide a performance clutch if you need it.
I wonder how much a clutch job including clutch would be for the z?

depends on the clutch that you plan to use. We are Comp dealers, and I recommend their products. Shoot me some details on your setup or what you want, and I'll price it for you. We can turn a Z around in a day, so down time will be minimal.

For example, the labor on a 350Z clutch install is $300. A Stage 2 Comp Clutch retails for $395, but I can sell you one for $350 including shipping. So $650 out the door.

That labor quote is good no matter what clutch you want, or even if you want to provide the parts. Thanks for the interest!

Thanks for calling today, and I will see you on Tuesday.
I wish I could, but I am 1k miles away from you easily. Just was wondering what it takes.
Going to change teh tranny fluid soon. (need to order some decent stuff, I think the local oil change place put the wrong shit in and its what is causing my shifting issues.)

What is the rec fluid for the tranny? (nm found it on 350tech.) I think the local havoline put the wrong shit in. Hoping I can correct it before my syncro's are gone.
