If it already had a CD09, it's going to be a little harder to get it swapped out. The CD01 trans had some issues but was only found in the earlier Z's. not sure what year yours is. Good luck.

So you think the noise isnt such a big deal?

Not sure its a 2k6 which means its not a CD09 but its not a CD01...

I have had zero issues up until recently.

I feel like everytime the sun might finally be shining someone comes up randomly and kicks me in the balls for something else.
so yo,

who tests my ride at a dealership but some little japanese dood.

Of course i get the, we have never had an issue with these motors or transmissions from him. (although the guy at the desk knew somewhat of the motor issues.) Of course when he drove it he had NO issues whatsoever..

however I have a new problem. In trying to take my exhaust back to stock i snapped the stud that goes from the muffler to the pipe going forward. Apparently the nut on there was frozen so bad that i snapped it with a 6 inch wrench... Any of you guys know if i can just buy the stud and a new nut? or do i need a whole new muffler. (ill grind the bitch off first and put my own bolt through. but thought i should ask if i cant just order that stud now.)

Don't think they sell the stud separately. Might be cheaper to buy a whole new muffler locally from My350z. Most people are selling them for like 20 bucks. I bought a full system including cats for $50 last year.

And as far as the dealership goes, were you in the car for the test drive? They will deny and deny unless you actually sit there and point it out. Might be best to take it in when the transmission it cold and see if you can get one now. Im thinking you have the 001 now and the 009 has been known to hold up a lot better.
the car shifts completely fine once warm. I am leaning more towards the replacement oil not being right.
I may take the car by there and just let it cool down. But even then it really needs to sit overnight.

I was with the guy for the drive and he even let me drive to see if i could find it and show him. no dice.
The damn thing worked perfectly for him...
changed to redline in the dif and the tranny today. The shop that did the prior work did it for free.
Completely different animal. I think they put way the wrong shit in there the first time.
