Hey guys I am from USC. Anyways I might head up next year to an autocross. Here is one of our toys that we found laying around in one of the labs.

Can you get access to that as a club? I'm pretty sure there should be one at the CU-ICAR campus, however they seem to be all business (somewhat understandable... stress the somewhat) with just about everything there though. Glad to see you made it over to these boards!
Yeah we get to use it anytime we want. We found it sitting around with only 29 miles on it. We have used it some but it had been laying around for 8 years.

Do you have any more info on it?
Who owns/has official use of it?
Type of dyno?
Who they allow to use it? clubs, everyday joes?
This has lots of potential for a dyno day if we could get our clubs together.

There is one at ICAR - actually a 4 wheel dyno complete with air circulation system to simulate driving at speed so the cooling system doesn't overheat. It's very nice.
Good luck trying to use it - I know of one case where someone did for his personal vehicle (a track bike) but it was for "educational reasons" (real world exposure to students of tuning the ECU).
Well for the most part its just for the club. Its an older mustang dyno. USC owns it but we have the rights to use it. We are wanting to do a dyno day sometime in the future. Right now we are trying to find a good fan. After that we are wanting to buy a wideband sensor. For the most part we have pulled a few cars for fun. Plus nothing beats the teachers coming down to see what is shaking the floor 3 levels up.
shaking the floor three levels up? please expand.
and welcome to the forums. we'll try and keep the mascot jokes to a minimum.
Welcome! We shoud have a club meet sort of thing. I'd be down for that.
Meh, who cares about horsepower
Welcome to the board!
I think it would be a great trip for some of us to go over and meet them/dyno.
Well for the for the noise we have it in the basement and the teacher thats is responsible for the dyno is 3 floors up. We had a buddy of mine in his 420a turbo eclipse vibrating his office. Yeah we need to get a get together sometime, that could be fun.
the idea of having several SCCs in the SC, NC, Ga, Tenn. area all going to Victory Lanes in Charlotte has been mentioned.
think you guys would be interested in that? we could get a college kids vs old guys competition going.
Ill pass along the idea. Some of us are finishing our cars up after builds. We should do that sometime.
