I hate to make such a shameless plug, but I work at CMP and I have driven the track (hence why I'm on my second set of brakes :lolSmile. It's a fun layout with tons of run off room, minimal guard rails or barriers to hit, and if you go through Turn One (the track's driving school) or NASA or SCCA events, not too bad on the wallet. Here's the website: http://www.carolinamotorsportspark.com. Road Atlanta I don't know much about, but I've heard it's a great track as well and it's roughly the same distance from here. Just a word from my own experience, you'll be well served to get comfortable with driving your car at a few more autocrosses before tackling a track day. Autocross is just about the best way to learn car control, how your car responds to your control inputs, and where to place it without having enough speed to kill yourself or total your car. It helped me a ton on my track days to have that experience. Smile
