Hey, I'm Paul.
I'm 22 and a junior in ME here at Clemson. I've heard about the sports car club from several people over my years here, but I've never gotten involved, so I thought I'd check things out, see what you guys are about, and all that.
Welcome! Come to our meetings on wed nights at 9 pm in Daniel 100 (Auditorium). We also have an upcoming autox Nov 1st in Anderson if you want to check it out.
welcome! hope to see you at our meetings!
side note: is that your clemson user name as well?

Haha, yeah, it's a shortening of my clemson userid.
As far as track days/drag goes, what tracks do you guys go to? I saw the thing about autocross and Anderson and I hear that the old autocross stuff @ clemson campus got shut down (lame). And, is it ok for me to go if I'm not driving? I have very little spending money and seriously doubt I'll have a car to do anything with for a while, but I would like to be around it/learn things. Any ideas?
I'll try to go to one of the meetings soon - lotta work this week so I don't think I'll make this one.
Yes you can definitely come and spectate

. I'd also try to catch a couple runs with some people to get a feel for autocrossing if you haven't already had experience in it before. Pretty much any car can autocross though. As long as it runs, doesn't leak fluids, wheels are on tight, and stuff doesn't fly around the engine bay then you are good to go. You don't have to have a sports car to do it. Heck, half the people that come to our events have Miatas. Thats about as un-sporty as you can get

.
^ i don't know...my echo is pretty unsporty
